Brooke, the first thing you need to do is breathe, nice and slow. If I was in your position and didn't want to burn any bridges I think I would do my best to give very vague answers to prying questions about where you have been, busy, not feeling well, oh I've been around you just haven't noticed, whatever you can live with and that will deflect the question, or just smile and shrug, bat your eyes and mumble something like oh around. And use one of their favorite tactics, ask another question on a completely different tangent to redirect the conversation.

Don't let them see how nervous you are either, keep it all very low key and vague and bolt the first second you can. I would also come as late as possible before it starts.

Every time I read a thread like this I feel a hate crime coming on and I have to go calm down. If there is a final accounting I would give a lot to be there when the assholes from Brooklyn go before the judge and have their sins read off.

i know i just made one post, but i have another.. after the conversation with my bf tonight, i finally gave in and said i would sit down with a jw.

i don't beleive the bs for one moment.

i don't see the point in doing this, but if it will make my bf happy i'm willing to do it.

Remember the lawyers credo, never ask a question you don't know the answer to. Make sure whatever you decide to ask them you already know what the answer is and then you can listen to them try to twist the facts etc. And when I say "know the answer" as some of the questions maybe not be ultimately "knowable" what I mean is you've done the reasearch and have an answer that you are satisfied with, one that you are convinced is correct. So if you choose 607 as a question make sure you do the research and know the arguments that have convinced you that it is not the right date. Or say shunning, get the eyewitness accounts (which are easily obtainable here and at other sites) to where you are in no doubt the practice actually takes place and then listen very carefully to their answers, whether they flatly deny it or whether they try to weasel around the actual question which as was mentioned above, circular reasoning. Bottom line, be prepared!

jw's have a vocabulary and terminology of their own dont they?

i have thought about putting togther an apostaglossary to identify those particular sayings and their true meaning; i have included a few to start the ball rolling;.

'he doesnt have the right heart condition'.
